Hello, welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop! This month our Design Team created “Birthday Bonanza” projects to inspire you to make for all of your family and friends. We hope you enjoy and are inspired by them! Don’t forget to leave comments because we all love hearing from you! At the end of my post, you will find the full line-up to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.
Pierced Blooms Birthday
Pierced Blooms are very on trend right now, and I thought it would be fun to incorporate some different color leaves into this birthday card.
Do you have a scrap system? I recently made myself a new scrap system and I am finding it so easy to use. I went to my scrap bin first for this card idea instead of getting out entire sheets of cardstock. Flipping through my system, I noticed I had a lot in the Blues/Purples folder, so I went to town die cutting a lot of super cute leaves. At this point I knew where I wanted to go with this card but I wasn’t quite sure which colors I was going to use. You can see below that I had also die cut some leaves out of Pacific Point and Bermuda Bay cardstock but they didn’t make it onto this creation, so I will save them for another one.
Let me show you all the layer pieces before I assembled them. You can see I used some of the die cut leaves to decorate the envelope (top left) and inside card panel (bottom left).
Here is a closeup of all those gorgeous details and layers.
More inspiration awaits! Use the Blog Hop Line-up below to visit the rest of this month’s Design Team. My fellow Pals are excited to show you what they’ve created! Mark your calendars for our next blog hop on March 10th when our theme will be “Cute Critters” where the design team will be sharing projects that will feature critters of all sorts to inspire you. Don’t miss the fun! Until then, please stay safe and have fun in your craft room.
