Pals Blog Hop – Pile It On with Forever Fern Bundle

Hello, welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop! This month our Design Team’s theme is “Pile It On” – showcasing their card/project with layers of DSP and/or embellishments for any occasion. We hope you enjoy and will be inspired by them! Don’t forget to leave comments! We love hearing from you. At the end of my post, you will find the full line-up to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.

A Slimline Hello

I love to send handmade cards and a hello card is perfect to keep on hand for any occasion. This month I decided to have some fun and change things up with a slimline card.

Here are the measurements that I used for this slimline hello card which fits in a regular #10 envelope.

Slimline Embossing Trick

  • Take Layer 2 and the foliage embossing folder from the Greenery Embossing Folders set.
  • Insert one of the 3 inch ends of Layer 1 into the embossing folder.
  • Run the pair through Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine, the folder will be horizontal and the Whisper White Thick Cardstock will be vertical. The machine is just wide enough for the folder as shown below.
  • No need to run it completely through, just enough for it to emboss and then reverse. This will keep you from getting any unwanted creases.
  • Remove the cardstock and repeat on the opposite side.

More inspiration awaits! Use the Blog Hop Line-up below to visit the rest of this month’s Design Team. My fellow Pals are excited to show you what they’ve created! Mark your calendars for our next blog hop on December 9th when our theme is “Goodbye September Mini Catalog and Hello January Mini Catalog.” Participants showcase their favorites from the retiring holiday catalog or new products from the new mini catalog. Don’t miss the fun! Until then, please stay safe and have fun in your craft space.

  1. Love this beautiful slimline card, Tricia! Your “pile it on” is pure perfection!! Great idea with the embossing folder, too.
