Welcome to this month’s Pals Blog Hop! Our theme is Something New, and I’m excited to share a project created with the new Lovely Arrangements Bundle from Stampin’ Up!

For my project, I created this double book fun fold card while playing with these gorgeous new products. As often happens in my craft room, this design came about thanks to a happy accident. I had a piece of Secret Sea cardstock that was just a tad too short for what I originally planned. Instead of starting over, I decided to lean into it, and that’s how this double book-style fun fold was born! Here’s a view of the front.

The layered florals from the Lovely Arrangements Bundle are perfect for showcasing on interactive folds like this. I love how the design allows the card to open in a unique way while still keeping plenty of space for stamping and layers. Here’s a look at the first opening.

The Details

• Card Base: Secret Sea 5-1/2″ x 7-3/8″, scored at: 4-1/4″, 5-1/16″, 5-13/16″, and 6-1/2″
• Lovely Blossoms DSP: I used the 2 images shown from the cut-apart sheet (trim to your preferred size and proportion)
• Old Olive Rickrack: I used Tear & Tape Adhesive to tuck this behind the outer fold. Fair warning: this trim is not friendly to winter-dry hands, it likes to snag on everything! It’s so gorgeous that it’s totally worth it, though.

Sometimes the best designs come from simply playing with new products, and not being afraid to let the supplies lead the way. Lastly, here’s a view of the interior.
