Welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop!
This month’s Stampin’ Pretty Pals Blog Hop is all about the Male Room theme, because the men in our lives deserve handmade cards too! Whether you’re creating for a dad, husband, son, grandson, brother, or friend, this hop is packed with ideas to help you craft something special. Today, the Pals are sharing male-themed card designs using Stampin’ Up! products, from bright and playful styles to classic looks and quick-and-easy layouts. If you’re looking for fresh inspiration (or just a good reason to dive into your craft room), you’re in the perfect place.
Simple Layered Fun Fold Card
For my card, I leaned into a relaxed, coastal vibe with a clean, masculine feel using the Relaxing Waterside stamp set and Waterside Retreat Designer Series Paper, both sneak peeks from the upcoming May–August Stampin’ Up! catalog. I paired soft, weathered wood textures with classic blue stripes to create a calm, waterside backdrop. The focal point features a row of buoys and life vests layered over oars, a subtle nod to time spent by the water, perfect for the guy who enjoys boating or the outdoors. I kept the color palette muted with pops of color in the buoys and vests to add interest without overpowering the design. This fun fold layout is simple but layered, making it easy to recreate while still feeling thoughtful and unique.

Here’s alook at the simple fun fold when its opened.

The Details
- Card Base: Misty Moonlight 4-1/4″ x 11″, scored at 5-1/2″
- Trim 1″ off the left and right sides of the front to create the 2-1/4″ center flap
- Center Flap DSP: Waterside Retreat (2) at 2-1/4″ x 5-1/2″; 1 woodgrain piece (front) and 1 buoy piece (interior)
- Interior Layer: Basic White 4-1/8″ x 5-3/8″
- Interior DSP Strips: Waterside Retreat blue stripe (2) at 1″ x 5-1/4″
- Decorative Pieces: Fussy cut 2 oars, (4) buoys, and (3) vests
- Tip: I slightly bent the oar ends to slide the buoys and vests over
