Pals Blog Hop – Orange Theory with Scenic Pumpkin Patch

Welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop!

This month, the theme is Orange Theory. We hope to inspire you with our creations using the color orange today! You will find the lineup at the end of my post to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.

Scenic Pumpkin Patch Card

Let me paint a scene for you of rolling hills, pumpkins galore, and a little house on the hill. I had so much fun creating this fun scenic card for the Orange Theory theme this month. I thought the Delicate Forest Dies would make fun hills and be a perfect addition to the Scenic Pumpkin Patch Stamp Set.

I started this card by choosing this beautiful color palette where Pumpkin Pie takes center stage.

The Details

  • Card Base – Pool Party Cardstock | 4-1/4″ x 1″, score at 5-1/2″ on the 11″ side
  • Cardstock – Pumpkin Pie, Pretty Peacock, and Petal Pink | 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ (1 of each color)
  • Die Cut – Die cut using the cardstock pieces using the Delicate Forest Dies. Pay attention to your spacing as you cut each layer to give the rolling hills some spacing. Start with the Pumpkin Pie cardstock, then the Pretty Peacock, then the Petal Pink, flip what is left of the Pretty Pecock to cut the second the last hill.
  • Stamp – Stamp various pumpkins using the Scenic Pumpkin Patch stamps on the leftover Petal Pink piece and fussy cut
  • Assemble & Adhere – Adhere the rolling hill pieces as show in the picture above, starting with the Pumpkin Pie and working your way backwards. All are the same width and should be easy to align. Don’t forget to nestle in the pumpkins before adhering where necessary.
  • Measure & Mark – Holding this hill layer over the card base, make a pencil mark where the top Pretty Peacock hill will be for reference when stamping the house and clouds in the next step.
  • Stamp – Stamp the house and clouds directly onto the Pool Party card base
  • Adhere – Take your rolling hills and adhere to them to the card front
  • Stamp – Sentiment of choice directly onto the Pumpkin Pie area
  • Embellish – Add embellishments as desired

There’s more inspiration to show you, so use the lineup below to visit the rest of the Design Team. Please mark your calendars for our next blog hop next month, when our theme will be Random Acts of Kindness.

Until then, have fun in your craft space.
